BUNDLE: Progressive Retriever

This week is fun packed and focussed totally on Gundog water work.
Monday 15 August to Friday 19 August 2022
Location: Clicker Gundog's purpose-built training centre in Charlton, Worcestershire, WR10 3LH
This level will be will be set around KC Working Tests, KC Working Gundog Certificate on Dummies and the Gundog Club Assessment Scheme Levels 3+.
It is specific to Retriever’s or to dogs from other breeds who are going to do the job of a retriever on the shoot. The weeks programme will include retrieve training including marks, memories and blinds, plus holding an area, hunt there whistle and sweeping, water work, arousal management and building connection.
To get the most from this week the participants need to have been clicker training and/or completed the Foundations for Gundogs courses and have a stop whistle cue, a recall, and a basic retrieve. Starting pistols, dummy launchers and bolting rabbits will be introduced during the week.
The tasks will be set to challenge both handlers and dogs and to progress them towards the higher Gundog Club field tests, KC WGC on dummies and Novice and Open working tests. There will also be the possibility of taking the Gundog Club Graded Assessment depending on interest.

If you have not trained with us before or not been exposed to shot, but think that this camp is suitable for you and your dog please book a 121 with the Teacher before booking on the camp.
Weekly Itinerary Monday - Meet at 9.30 for coffee, briefing, introductions and establish baselines. Finish at 4pm.
Tuesday - 10am to 4pm.
Wednesday - 10am to 1pm.
Thursday - 10am to 4pm. On the Thursday evening there will be a group supper at a local Pub, this is scheduled for 4.30pm so we can leave straight from the venue. This is a dog friendly pub and your dogs are welcome to sit in the bar area before the meal is served, or remain with us if the weather permits in the garden while we eat.
